Can I show a different survey to new or returning customers?

In short, yes, however, this is only possible on your online store's post-purchase pages (thank you and order status page) when using a post-purchase survey.

What are my options?

It's possible to display two surveys on the Order Status Page, one for All Customers and another one that is dependent on whether or not the customer is a New or Returning Customer.

You may decide that you only want to survey New Customers. If so, you can choose to enable the New Customers option within the Manage Visibility settings of the survey editor.

You may decide that you'd like to survey Returning Customers as well, but with a slightly different question. To achieve this, you'd create another survey and enable the Returning Customers option within the Manage Visibility settings of the survey editor.

A combination of the above is possible, allowing you to deliver one or two surveys on your post-purchase pages at the same time. It will all depending on whether or not the customer is a new or returning customer and if you have allocated a survey to each of these conditions.

How do I do this?

First, you'll need to create the surveys that you'd like to display to All, New or Returning Customers.
