Please note:
This feature is available when displaying surveys on the Thank You and Order Status pages of your online store using the checkout app block. It does not apply to Shopify POS, standalone pages, or embedded surveys.
How do I set this up?
To display a survey specifically for new customers, start by creating a new survey or select an existing survey, then open the survey editor.
In the Manage Visibility panel on the right-hand side of the survey editor:
Enable the Checkout app block checkbox. This publishes the survey to your Thank You and Order Status pages.
Click the Choose who sees this survey button.
In the Display Rules modal, select Customer type and click Add rule.
Choose New customers.
Click Save.
Your survey will now only appear to first-time customers placing their first order with your store.

Tip: You can combine customer type targeting with other rules — for example, show a "How did you hear about us?" survey only to new customers whose order contains a specific product line.
Don't forget to save your survey and make sure you have added your survey to the Thank You and Order Status pages within the checkout editor.
That's it!
New customers will now see this survey on your Thank You and Order Status pages after they checkout.
