If you're a merchant with an international presence, then you'll no doubt be aware of the different languages being used to checkout on your store. Grapevine Surveys language feature allows you to create a post-purchase survey for each language that you support at checkout.

Our approach to language support for post-purchase surveys is quite straight forward.

You will need to create a survey for each language that you intend to support. Once you have created your surveys and assigned them to a language, we will detect the language being used during checkout and will look to see if you have published a post-purchase survey assigned to that language.

If there is a matching survey, it will be delivered into the Order Status Page and/or Thank You Page.

When creating your post-purchase survey, you will see the language dropdown selector on the right hand side of the survey editor screen under the Order Status Page (OSP) section:

Select the language you would like the survey to apply to from the dropdown.

You can only assign one language per survey.

To create a post-purchase survey for another language, you can then either duplicate an existing post-purchase survey and then change the survey options to your preferred language... or, you can create a new post-purchase survey from scratch.

A default post-purchase survey can also be created and assigned to "All languages", which will be delivered when a checkout occurs in a language that you have not assigned a specific post-purchase survey to.

Our language support is fully compatible with WeGlot and Langify who use the locale parameter to switch languages in the checkout URL.

If the locale parameter is present in the the checkout URL, we will look to see if you have a post-purchase survey for that language. If you do, we will deliver that survey on the Order Status Page and/or Thank You Page.

Is your language feature compatible with Shopify Markets?

At present, our language support implementation does not support the identification of Shopify Markets.
