Understanding unique survey impressions

Survey's can be published across multiple channels, not just your online store's thank you /order status page. For example, they can also be published on POS On-site and Embedded Pages etc - so it's good to understand when an impression is counted as a unique impression.

How do we define a unique survey impression?

When your survey is displayed to a customer for the first time, we create a unique survey impression that identifies that customer on that channel, e.g. a customer places an order on your online store and sees the survey on the thank you page.

If that customer does not submit a response to your survey and later returns to the order status page to check on their order, they will be presented with the survey again. We do not track this as a unique survey impression, but as a normal survey impression.

How did you arrive at my starting number of unique survey impressions?

When we introduced unique survey impressions into the app (February 2023), we took the total number of orders created in your store since installing the Grapevine app and used this as the total number of unique impressions for your survey.

How can I reset my unique survey impressions?

If you would like to reset your unique survey impressions back to zero, the best way to do this would be to start over by creating a new survey.
